Scientists at
NASA built a gun specifically to launch standard 4 pound dead chickens
at the windshields of airliners, military jets and the space shuttle,
all traveling at maximum velocity. The idea is to simulate the frequent
incidents of collisions with airborne fowl to test the strength of the
windshields.

British engineers heard about the gun and were eager to test it on the
windshields of their new high speed trains. Arrangements were made, and
a gun was sent to the British engineers. When the gun was fired, the
engineers stood shocked as the chicken hurled out of the barrel,
crashed into the shatterproof shield, smashed it to smithereens,
blasted through the control console, snapped the engineer's back-rest
in two, and embedded itself in the back wall of the cabin, like an
arrow shot from a bow.

The
horrified Brits sent NASA the disastrous results of the experiment,
along with the designs of the windshield and begged the US scientists
for suggestions.
    You're
gonna love this...
NASA
responded with a one-line memo -- "Defrost the chicken." (True Story)

We play a lot of games around our house, and having little or no attention span among us, it behooves us to try and come up with new - and hopefully exciting - ones all the time. One new one that we started playing last week was inspired by an actual computer game that we tested out, but it can be just as fun at home in reality. It's a crayon game, and all you need is a large sheet of paper and a crayon or two.
As a side note, the reason we use a crayon and not a pen, pencil, or marker is nothing all that deep; crayons just look cooler.
Basically, what we do is draw a small round object - let's call it "The Ball" - and try and get it to hit a certain spot on the paper, abstractly and "visually", inside our heads, using levers, pullies, and things we draw dropping from the sky. All the rules of Nature apply in this game, meaning we can't "pretend" that a magical square can rise up from the ground. Having said that, if we want to DRAW the ground, that's O.K.
It really gets the problem-solving side of our brains to come out, as we have to actually "prove" that x pully will force the ball to move to y position, based on science.
When we're done drawing our "maps" as we call them, someone else has to test it out, and we can be very critical, but that adds to the excitement.
And they make for great artwork on the walls and great conversation-starting items!

For those who thought this track did not ever exist. Here you go.

http://digital-dj.com.au

This is a free 23.4MB mp3 format download, you just have to register with them first.

I will post another remix of it by the end of this year (2010) if i am still alive.

Feature's the familiar T.S. voices of; (in no particular order) Cpl Barrie, Mozi, Coop Noob, Dr. Feelgood, Re-coil, Dingo, Nutty, Watter, Shev, Swabio, Spall, Snappy, Super Noob, Spear, Doggie, Gardy, Rulie, Candiman, Yak 54, B.A.R., PLO, Blind Freddy, Dog Tooth, Gen Crusher, Mr Med, Lili red, OZ Slayer, Richie Benaud, Matty 5700, Blackbeast, Capt Pugwash, Kaj, Bully, Mr. T-ASO-, Herstal, Glenn T, Vangard, SAS06 and many others.

"rule-breaker v.1.09.87" has nothing to do with the rulie ever breaking any official rules...even though I do from time to time.
It's just not possible to live on this planet these days without breaking a rule or two here or there. Plus I read it once in a banned Aussie militant gun mag that "The golden rule is, there are no rules".

Heres a clue, "rule-breaker" is called "rule-breaker" because of the many various modified combo's of old skool breakdance loops utilized in the backing track. Another hint would be the current version, which I hid right in front of you, an esoteric date to spot with your third blind eye...1987.

Between roughly 1983 to 1987 (in Australia) I seem to vividly recall that if you wanted a pair of Nike's for your two damn Breakin' feets, then you had to put yourself on a 3 month pre-paid waiting list. No, I am not joking...and that was only for the standard canvas style high cut Nike model. But back in those days boys and girls, Nike shoes where actually made in America and as such, where a quality product. It's all gone to Cotties though now, hasn't it?....

Here is the rulie challenge. I will post 100 bux (AUS) to the first human (or alien), who can correctly identify and post me a list of the break loops I used (name of tune and artist) in order, from start to finish. Don't worry dudes and dudett's, the money is quiet safe, so here is a joooceee clue. i.e. loop No. XX?. - tune - Reckless. Artist - ICE T. loop No. XX? - tune - Big Apple two. Artist - World Class Wreckin Crew (and thats the WCWC i knew [-1984-] before they all turned into new school RnB soft cocks).

...up-date on "Deliberate, Snap, Rapid".
Although I had previously posted that I had actually shit canned this tune due to me and my imaginary girlfriend from Queensland, Jessica, being not too pleased with the "Heavy Metal - Break Beat" combo instrumental backing track. A re-listening after a full moon black sabbath "grave robbery" has me motivated again.

Its on!.

rulie.
aka, DJ Cut n Paste

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Some responses so far from the AN Squad fellas...

BlindFreddy
Joined: Sep 26, 2009
Posts: 50
PostPosted: Monday 15 February 2010 05:39 Post subject: Reply with quote

Well done..Cracked me up lol

AN-DirectHit
Joined: Oct 18, 2009
Posts: 40
PostPosted: Monday 15 February 2010 06:24 Post subject: Reply with quote

what a crack up. love it mate.
So, when are we going to have a "old days" hit out

Candiman
Joined: Sep 26, 2009
Posts: 85
PostPosted: Monday 15 February 2010 07:40 Post subject: Reply with quote

Hilarious. All the outside metal case bits got a nice coat of Black Kill rust gloss spray. Any plastic parts were spayed with a coat or three of Black Krylon (plastic paint) gloss. I decided to do the little 1.44 floppy as well, only coz it was there, looking at me all very white and out of place. Didn't wont to go to too much trouble with masking this device up really well as it most likely would never get used. I popped off the face plate to mask it up and noticed there was something jammed in it. I took this 1.44 disc drive from a collection of around 50 or so i had been stripping from old and dead PCs for years. At first I thought someone had somehow managed to get a 1.44 floppy actually stuck in the drive at an odd angle. rulie frowns...

Once I had found a small pair of long nose pliers the mysterious offender was quickly revealed. Some stupid spazz had tried to put a mini disc into the 1.44 drive. Indeed, rather successfully I might ad.

Never ever seen one of these little mini disc thingos before in my life.
